Talks from our 'Humans + Machines' artificial intelligence conference
March 2, 2016
Over 120 curious and creative individuals came to our first event, "Humans + Machines: Using Artificial Intelligence to Power Your People," held last February 19 at our offices at Bonifacio Global City. The event was made possible with a sponsorship from the World Bank.
We're sharing below videos and slides from the four speakers' talks:
Thinking Machines CEO and Data Scientist Stephanie Sy spoke about the current artificial intelligence and data science landscape and how this is could impact the Philippines in the next five to ten years:
Complex systems scientist Dr. Erika Legara talked about how she and her colleagues at Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research used machine learning to simulate how different types of commuters might respond to changes in the city's public transportation system:
San Francisco-based data scientist Clare Corthell of Luminant Data spoke about the paradigm shift from artificial to hybrid intelligence, an approach towards creating AI that complements rather than replaces human work:
Thinking Machines' content strategist and data storyteller Pia Faustino spoke about the process of turning raw data into meaningful, engaging stories that organizations can use to influence, persuade, inform, and inspire:
The event was followed by a lively hour-long question and answer forum. Big thanks to our audience for being so engaged.
